Life Happens...

This was said to me back during Thanksgiving by my very best friend Jenny. We didn't get to see each other this past visit back home...and I was feeling way crummy about it...and she told me over the phone..."no worries...life happens". I've been pondering that statement more and more everyday...especially since the new year. Why does life happen....why can't we just keep up with who and what we need to keep up with. I'm insanely busy, but I could most definitely find the time to call a few friends. Are you supposed to drift away from people? I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, but why can't I stop this from happening. I get so busy and so self absorbed sometimes in my own life, I don't think about what's going on in my friend's lives. I'm saddened at how many friends I've fallen out of touch with. I wrote my friend Kyle a few weeks ago and he never got back to me, then I did my shit talk to him and he threw stuff up in my face on how I never return phone calls (I love you Kyle ;)........and ya know what.......I'm horrible about returning phone calls.....and that's ridiculous.... I don't monitor my phone, I usually don't hear it...lol...or my signal doesn't work. It's just amazing to me that there are so many people that I care about so much that I don't even talk to anymore, but I think about everyday. Why don't I do something about that?? Fact is....life happens. I have an amazing husband and two beautiful two year old kiddos....and sometimes I barely have enough time for my husband, much less myself or my beloved friends. I sometimes wish I could just stop time for a moment.....and stay there for a while....but that's not possible....I so wish it was...I need that sometimes. So the reason for the ridiculous rant in a way is an apology I guess....I wish I would have kept up better, but hell...I have had a whole lotta shit happen in my life too...lol....I'm just writing...needed to write today. Long story short, I miss you all and love you all and think about you all more than you will ever know. I hope life takes you far and you end up so happy that words can't describe it. But I do miss you all more than you'll ever know! and I hope one day when we all pass each other on the street, and it won't be a hey how's life.....it'll be a hey how's the kids, how was the school program last week, because I want to be involved in every one's lives up to date and all. I miss you all.

So I haven't really been productive this week....just trying to concentrate on not eating....Chance and I are doing weight watchers.....so here are the numbers...don't gasp and be in shock too much...lol

Ya know...that's not that bad for four days. I just wish I could close my eyes or blink and my fat ass would disappear...but I guess that's not going to happen...lol I have been very active this week at least. On Monday I rode my bike about 4 miles, Tuesday 8 miles, and then Wednesday I rode about 7 miles. Not too bad...my ass still hates me.....lol It started raining here on Thursday and is continuing to rain today...so no bike riding here.....I'll go out and lift some weights tonight...yay. Can you feel my excitement...lol.... Here's a pic of Madi and JAxon's noggin protectors....lol

In other news, I went to cook dinner last night and my kitchen faucet exploded on me....lol....then today I turned on our DVD player and it's broken....wow....what's next....I pray it's not us or a car....lol. So all in all it's been kind of a crappy week....just walking around hungry and mildly pissed off at the world....but I did manage to make Madison a kick ass Corset Dress on Wednesday night. Christina came on over and we sewed up a storm....and ate some Weight Watchers Ice Cream bars....2 points thank you! Here are the pics.

Here we have take one.....The front needed something and against my better judgment I bought and iron on applique......it's really cute...but I guarantee it will fall off after the first wash....

And this is the amazing back....it's so pretty...I just need to figure out a way to spice up the front.....next try will be much different!!!

Weight Loss.....oy.

Well, today was the day I guess...lol...Chance and I both started weight watchers.....Hopefully we can stick to it and it will help us! I did it a very very long time ago, and it worked wonders for me....I lost 27 lbs. I really enjoyed it, but that was before kids or really cooking...LOL...so now it really will be a test....lol...but we're gonna do it! We've even gotten into the fitness thing....Chance bought a bow flex off of Craigslist, and he also bought us bikes, and a trailer for the kiddos to ride in! Very cute really. The kiddos really enjoy it. I rode for the first time yesterday and I feel as though my butt gave birth...LMAO! My butt hurts! I rode with Christina yesterday morning, and then last night Chance and I rode to Sonic for dinner. It was really nice. We live very close to the river walk here, and they have beautiful trails! So we're going to work ourselves up to that point. We'll see how it all goes! Wish us luck!!! Fo Sho.

p.s. Does anyone know where I can find on of those calculators, that you put your homemade recipe in and it spits out the calories per serving??? Just curious.

What a GREAT Saturday!!

I woke bright and early to Madi peeing in the potty!!! That's right people, in the potty!! She's a big kid now! WOOOHOOOO!!! Now I just have to conquer Jaxon. After I got her all settled the whole fam settled into my bed...LOL...we lounged until about 8:20 then started our day! Chance is the bestest most amazingest husband ever! He watched the kiddos from 10 to 4 today! I got to go SHOPPING!! 10 am Christina came by and picked me up and we started our day. We went by a dear friend's bow sale! Picked up some great bows and I won the raffle prize!!! WOOHOOO!!! A free bow holder and 10 bows!! I ROCK!! Thanks Stacey! :) Then we went on our way to Hancock's, spent about 2 hours there....they were having some great sales and fully stocked up on fabric....here's my finds!!!

Then we went and engorged ourselves at Chipotle....oh my goodness....it's heavenly. Then we wandered back across town to Strawberry Patches, ewwwwed and awwwwwed over all the amazing fabric and quilts, then my fat ass had to drag us next door to Sweet Surrender.....OMG...the best chocolate and cookies and cakes and pies....and just plain cute stuff!! After I dragged my fat ass out of there we wandered over to Beverly's...I picked up my elastic thread and some thread for my "future" pillows. Then we wandered on over to Target...I love Target...They have the best dollar bins....check it.

Oh yes....those are heart shaped measuring cups.....FABULOUS!

Then we stopped by Fashion Bug so Chris could get her bangin outfit for the casino tonight, and then I dragged myself in the front door....to an exhausted hubby who had enough of 2 year old twins....LOL! He's a trooper!! For sure. Thanks Baby Daddy...I had a lovely day. And thanks Christina....I had a blast!!! And we soooo burned calories by laughing....oh yes....that's my thought at least.

Oh what a day!!

I had a very productive day today!! Chance went out to work on a well, so I destroyed the house!!! HAHA....but no really. I made some belated Christmas gifts, some curtains, and a new project.... It's one of those things you put on the back of your seat in the car...it sits in front of the kiddos for their books and snacks and whatnot. I saw one online and figured I'd give it a go. No tutorial or anything, and it turned out pretty great! All in all it was a good day! Here are the pics of the projects!

And I had some leftover material so I decided to try one of these thingy's. It's a backseat buddy. You hang it on the back of the seat in the car. It sits in front of the kiddos, you can put toys and books, and snacks in it. Great idea! Saw it on some blog.....no tutorial! Woot Woot!

And last but not least, here is my Mom's catastrophe of a purse. I did this about a month ago, but never posted pics....it was my Momma's Christmas gift. It turned out really cute, if you don't know how to sew and pick out all the mistakes, she loves it anyway, and has requested another one, but in a solid color. kickass momma.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going shopping tomorrow!! woot woot!!!! I almost forgot!! I took Trixie to the vet yesterday, she's only 7 weeks old and she weighs 16 POUNDS!!! Oh my goodness!!! She's going to be a horse!!

whewwwwwwwww..........

Well the holidays are over and it's the beginning of a brand new year! This past year definately had it's downs...almost too many to count....but we finished out on a pretty high note. I missed my friends and family from back home so badly that it hurt. I missed being home and seeing everyone's faces...hell I even missed the faces of my friends here in Cali...lol....I'm just very thankful that Chance's parents and his brother and sister in law came into town. Christmas just isn't the same when you're not surrounded by some of your family....or that could just be me. I dearly missed Granny this year.....God rest her soul.....and I know for sure I'm not the only one who missed her....it was the first Christmas without her and there was a slight haze in the air.......We sure did miss you this year........

Anywho--------- onto a lighter note.......The kiddos made out like bandits from Santa and the rest of the family!! I didn't know they could ever ever ever get so many gifts at one time! LOL!! Here's some of that aftermath..........thanks to everyone who sent gifts!!

Chance made out pretty well too this year! He got a digital picture frame, a Guiness hat and shirt, and a PUPPY! That's right! I picked up our new Neo/English Mastiff puppy on Christmas Eve! He named her Trixie....I call her Trix....cause she's full of them! We took her to the vet that day and she is free and clear of all heart murmurs and anything else that could possibly be wrong!! THANK GOD!! I don't think I could go through that again. Here's some pics! She was born on November 16, 2008! At her checkup she was 5 weeks old and weighed 8 lbs! HOLY COW!!! She's gonna be a bear...for sure!

I hope you all had an absolutely amazing Christmas and you all have the best year ever!!! Resolutions anyone??? Mine is the same it is every year.....lose weight.......lol......maybe this year will be the year............... ;)
